Kameleoon is compatible with Mapp (formerly Webtrekk) for the analysis of your experiments and personalizations.

Set up Mapp

You need to create an Event Parameter on your Mapp account. This Event Parameter (ID) is required for your installation.

Choose an unused action parameter, which will be used to track the variation value.

You could add this event parameter later to a Mapp Report.

For Usage Tagintegration(ti), choose Kameleoon Plugin.

In easiest case, please select as rule: All pages.

Your event parameter (ID) is created!

If you use the Kameleoon Personalization Module, you can select Personalization Tracking (optional).

Enable Mapp integrations on Kameleoon

Log in to your Kameleoon App, click on Admin and then Integrations in the sidebar.

For more information on this page, see our dedicated article.

By default, the tool is not installed. This is signaled by this icon:

With a click on Install the tool, you will be able to select the projects on which you want to activate it, so that information can be correctly reported to Mapp/Webtrekk.

Once you have configured the tool, click on Validate in the bottom-right corner: the configuration panel closes. You will then see a ON toggle on the right of the tool’s line, as well as the number of projects the tool is configured on.

The data will be automatically pushed to Mapp/Webtrekk if it is installed on your pages.

Please note that if you need to slightly change the behavior of our native bridge, you can create a custom analytics bridge and use our Mapp sample code you can take from our Github repository.

Associate Mapp with an experiment

In the Graphic/Code editor

When finalizing your experiment, click the Integrations step to configure Mapp as a tracking tool.

Click on Mapp.

You just have to validate your choice. Mapp will be mentioned in the summary pop-in before going live.

Kameleoon will automatically transmit the data to Mapp and you will be able to view your results directly in the tool.

On the results page

Once Mapp/Webtrekk is defined as a reporting tool for an experiment, you can select (or unselect) it via the Experiments results page. To do this, click on Reporting Tools in the right-hand panel to open the corresponding menu.

The reporting tools associated with the experiment are displayed. Click on Edit to edit this selection.

You can select or unselect Mapp/Webtrekk. Click on Validate to continue and finalize or update your experiments.

In Mapp, you will be able to segment your visitors based on the Kameleoon experiments and variations they have been exposed to. These segments can be used in the Mapp analysis modules.
