Salesforce Commerce Cloud

Integrate Kameleoon with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) to enable experimentation and personalization on your e-commerce platform.

The Kameleoon Salesforce Commerce Cloud cartridge is a self-contained module that you can integrate into any project. It is configurable through Business Manager and includes the components necessary to run Kameleoon in your environment.

Prerequisites​

Before you begin, verify that you have:

  • Access to your Salesforce Commerce Cloud instance.
  • Administrative access to the Kameleoon platform.

Step 1: Import the Kameleoon cartridge​

  1. Download the Salesforce x Kameleoon cartridge.
  2. Log in to Salesforce Business Manager.
  3. Go to Administration > Site Development > Code Deployment.
  4. Upload the int_kam_plugin file.
  5. Go to Administration > Sites > Manage Sites.
  6. Add the cartridge to the Cartridge Path. Ensure you place int_kam_plugin before other cartridges to prioritize it.

Step 2: Configure site preferences​

  1. In Business Manager, go to Administration > Sites > Manage Sites.
  2. Select your site from the list.
  3. Go to Custom Preferences and locate the Kameleoon preferences group.
  4. Configure the following settings:
    • Enable Kameleoon Web Application File: Select true to activate Kameleoon.
    • Project Sitecode: Enter the sitecode found in the Kameleoon app for your project.
    • Project Domain: Enter the domain displayed in your Kameleoon project.

Step 3: Verify the script injection​

After you activate the cartridge and configure preferences, the system automatically injects the Kameleoon script into your site's pages.

To verify the integration:

  1. Open your website in a browser.
  2. Inspect the source code and search for the Kameleoon script tag.
  3. Open the browser developer tools (Network tab) to confirm that the script loads successfully.

Step 4: Test the integration​

  1. Create an experiment or personalization campaign in Kameleoon.
  2. Simulate and launch the campaign.
  3. Visit your SFCC site and verify that the experiment or personalization changes appear.
